To Do in Tokyo: The Yebisu Garden Place Christmas Illumination

Christmas is a time for dating here in Japan and you can find many places both in and around Tokyo where they are having special winter illuminations to help get you in the right mood. Some of my favorites so far include the Red Brick Warehouse Christmas Market in Yokohama and the Country Farm Tokyo German Village winter illumination in Chiba. This time my darling and I went to the Yebisu Garden Place to enjoy some time together there.
The Yebisu Garden Place is a good dating spot any time of the year with a number of cozy restaurants and a range of entertainment options readily available such as the Museum of Yebisu Beer (The Ebisu area even got its name from this beer), the Yebisu Garden Place Tower with its great view, the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum and the Yebisu Garden Cinema to mention a few. During the Christmas season there is also a grand Christmas tree in the middle of the square, smaller trees with illumination and German-style stalls selling like beer and sausages that attracts visitors from near and far.

There is also an annual display of a Baccarat chandelier exhibited in the Garden Place, which measures 5m in height and is one of the largest in the world.

The Yebisu Garden Place is a cozy destination for visitors to Tokyo all year around, and for those looking to enjoy the Christmas season I would recommend stopping by the illumination.

Merry Christmas and thank you for reading! Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below
