Daytrip to Kuranda: The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to Cairns

As a part of our Kuranda-tour with the Tropical Wings we had the opportunity to return to Cairns using the 7.5 km long Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, which takes you on a route that goes directly above the Wet Tropics World Heritage Forest.

The cableway consists of 114 gondolas, with the capacity to carry 700 people/hour. The trip down to Cains takes approximately 1 1/3 hours, but there are two rainforest mid-stations where you have the opportunity to take a stroll in the rainforest and take a look at the spectacular view.
